Ben is a Managing Partner and Co-Owner of Murphey Taylor & Ellis, bringing over a decade of experience in commercial real estate to the firm. A Macon native, Ben has dedicated his career to the industry, developing deep market expertise and a strong network of relationships.
Before MTE, Ben led the successful development and acquisition of over $350 million in self-storage properties nationwide spanning nearly 2 million square feet. His extensive background in investment strategy, market analysis, and asset management positions him as a trusted advisor to clients seeking to maximize their real estate investments.
Ben is graduate from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate.
Will is a Managing Partner and Co-Owner of Murphey Taylor & Ellis. His forward-thinking approach, market knowledge across numerous asset classes, and industry relationships help provide clients with tailored solutions and insightful guidance that align with their business objectives.
Prior to acquiring MTE, Will held management and sales positions with the real estate firm, Hudson & Marshall, representing asset managers, local/regional banks, GSEs, corporations, and private owners in the disposition of their real estate assets. In 2017, Hudson and Marshall of Texas was acquired by Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF). Additionally, Will brings substantial construction knowledge, most recently with the firm Pittman Waller. During his time there, the company experienced significant sales growth and was acquired by FirstService Corporation (Nasdaq: FSV).
Will is a graduate of the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business with a B.B.A in real estate.
Mr. Persons currently serves as the Broker of Record and is an advisor to Murphey Taylor & Ellis.
Mr. Persons received his BS in Business Administration from the Citadel in 1971 and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
In 1995 Murphey Taylor and Ellis, Inc. became an active partner in a new venture to develop multi-family apartments. Mr. Persons’ responsibilities included site selection, area feasibility, financial feasibility, and was involved in securing construction and permanent financing and property management. From 1995 to the present Mr. Persons has been involved in developing, owning and managing over 5,500 multi-family apartment units across the southeast.
In 2000 Mr. Persons formed a Management Company, United Residential Properties, to manage their portfolio and third-party multi-family apartments. Presently he oversees the company’s operations as general partner.
Donna serves as Vice President of Operations for Murphey Taylor & Ellis, where she has been a vital part of the team for over 35 years. Her deep institutional knowledge and unwavering dedication make her an essential force behind the firm’s day-to-day operations. Donna is known for her consistent support of both staff and clients, offering a familiar and reliable presence to property owners and tenants alike. From managing owner statements and maintenance requests to overseeing front office administration, her industry expertise continues to play a key role in MTE’s ongoing success.
Faye serves as the Senior Bookkeeper for Murphey Taylor & Ellis. Having over 25 years of experience with MTE, Faye brings deep expertise and precision to her role. She is responsible for managing a wide range of financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and detailed financial reporting. Known for her attention to detail and responsiveness, Faye plays a critical role in ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting both property owners and the internal team with accurate, timely information.
Albert served as a Vice President and lead salesman at Murphey Taylor & Ellis for over 35 years. Throughout his tenure, he played a pivotal role in sales, leasing, and property management, always focused on delivering practical, real-world advice to property owners and tenants alike. His dedication is reflected in the lasting relationships he built within the Middle Georgia real estate community.
After retiring from day-to-day operations in the spring of 2025, Albert reaffirmed his commitment to MTE’s continued success by staying on as an advisor. He remains a trusted sounding board and invaluable asset as the MTE team advances its vision of delivering exceptional real estate services across Middle Georgia and beyond.
